Sobhan Babu was born in the january14 in 1937.he was born in the middle class family in the Nandigama, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India. His first film was Daivabalam directed by Vasanthkumar Reddy.his first hit was Bhakta Sabari.and his parents are the Surya Narayana , Rama Thulasamma and he has the three sisters Dhanaranga, Jhansi and Nirmala.he has one brother Sambasiva Rao.he study his schooling in Kuntamukkula Mylavaram.his intermediate in Vijayawada.and the degree in the Andhra-Christian College in Guntur. Later, he studied law in Chennai, but ultimately discontinued it.He married the shanti kumari in 15 may 1958.they had a son karuna sreshu and the three daughtersMrudula, Prashanti and Nivedita.1970s the actor was romantically linked to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha.
Shobhan’s debut was in the film Daivabalam by Vasanthkumar Reddy, In 1965 he played the lead role in Veerabhimanyu; it was a big hit. It was followed by some more hits like Manushulu Maarali(1962), Kalyanamantapam, and Tahsildhargaari Ammaayi. Kannavari Kalalu was the first colored movie in which she acted and for Ramudu-Parasuramudu he went abroad for the first time. Bhakta Sabari(1960) was his first hit film.
He has recieved a number of awards which includes 3 Filmfare Award (for Khaidi Babayi, JeevanaJyothi,and Soggadu), 5 Nandi Award and 8 AP Cine Goers Award.After the superstar Dilip Kumar, Babu is the one to recieve three consecutive Filmfare trophies. With actress Sarada, Babu created great on screen chemistry and gave several hits.Shobhan Babu Jeevita Charitra-Parugu Aapadam O Kala is the book written by Akella Raghavendra on the actor Shobhan Babu. Shobhan Babu died of heart attack on March 20, 2008, but actor Babu Mohan claims that it was not a natural death. Mohan said that he was killed by his family members after he had a fight with them regarding some financial issues. Apparently his family members pushed him from the stairs and passed it off as a natural death.
